The Advanced Veterinary Care Center (AVCC) is seeking a certified or comparably experienced veterinary practice manager to join our 24/7 emergency and specialty/referral companion animal hospital, scheduled to open in February 2018. AVCC was founded with an emphasis on life-saving disciplines including emergency/critical care, internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, and oncology. We are committed to building a team of exceptional individuals who value expertise, collaboration, compassion, and humility, and to the creation of a healthy supportive working environment. We are also committed to an exceptional client experience and exemplary relations with the referring veterinary community.
Our brand-new facility includes a large and fully equipped ICU/emergency room, as well as a full in-house laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy/laparoscopy, 16-slice CT, surgical suites, dedicated space designed specifically for renal replacement/hemodialysis, and other capacity appropriate to a new state-of-the-art facility. AVCC is located in a nice convenient suburban community just west of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, with easy access to beaches, the Everglades, etc, where you can raise a family and enjoy all of the benefits of the South Florida lifestyle without the congestion of Miami. And for those who love Miami, it’s only 40 minutes away.
We are seeking a self-motivated, energetic, experienced, team-oriented individual to help develop and implement a managerial/administrative system for a large emergency and specialty hospital, working closely with two owners with high standards and extensive experience owning and operating similar facilities. In the short term, the practice manager will have numerous responsibilities as necessary to launch and develop a premier companion animal veterinary emergency and specialty hospital, with emphasis on team building and culture, client experience and satisfaction, referring veterinarian communication and relationships, marketing and branding, and development of recruitment/training, purchasing, accounting, facilities maintenance, and other necessary systems. Over time, the role of the manager is expected to evolve and change as other key team members are recruited and responsibilities are delegated. We believe in cultivation and support of capable decision makers, rather than management of the managers. Bilingual (Spanish) applicants are appreciated, as are those who may be able to bring additional qualified team members to our community as we seek to fill other key positions. Salary and benefits are competitive with industry standards for the qualified individual. Send all inquiries to Jeff Toll, VMD, DACVIM at email@example.com. All inquiries are confidential.
Additional Salary Information: Salary is negotiable and consistent with industry standards based on certification, experience, and references.
