FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic (FACE) is searching for a special veterinarian to join our veterinary team.
FACE is dedicated to reducing needless euthanasia by addressing the root causes of shelter intake: pet overpopulation and pet surrender. Our clinic provides spay/neuter, vaccine, and minor wellness care to nearly 30,000 dogs and cats annually.

You will be located in Indianapolis, a vibrant Midwestern city known for fast cars, flourishing culinary and brewing scene, thriving cultural institutions, cool neighborhoods, and so much more. FACE is located in the heart of downtown and easily accessible from several interstate highways, which means that quick weekend trip to Chicago, Louisville, or St. Louis is definitely a reality.
Develop a rapport with clients and determine their needs and wishes; perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures in a way that will deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
Explain physical examination findings and communicate to the client a diagnosis of the pet’s problems; generate and present a treatment plan for the pet to the client; educate clients on preventative health care.
Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date.
Assist colleagues in follow up and future management of the patient.
Assist in the establishment and maintenance of procedures and protocols.
Build effective relationships through positive interaction and communication with the community, volunteers, and staff.
Attend all staff meetings and training sessions.
Advocate the humane treatment of animals and be able to transmit these values to others.
Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Indiana.
Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets.
Compassionate team player who can uphold great reputation with clients.
A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
Proficiency in surgery.
Able and willing to work in a busy and fast-paced environment.
FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic is Indianapolis’ non-profit, low-cost animal clinic. Open six days a week and serving central Indiana, the clinic provides affordable spay/neuter services, along with medical and wellness care for companion animals and community cats. Since opening in 1999, FACE has performed more than a quarter of a million spay/neuter surgeries, which has contributed to a 90 percent reduction of euthanasia in our community.
