Goals of the Externship: The goal of our externship program is to expose students to general practice, surgery, and diagnostic procedures. We like to schedule 1-2 week externships as this provides the best timing for increased learning opportunities. If you are interested in an internship a 2 week visit is highly recommended as it allows you time to meet everyone and get a good feel for our practice.
Maximum Number of Externs: 2 (Onsite housing capacity of 1 extern)
Estimated Externship Workload: Assist doctors and support staff with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments of in hospital patients and ambulatory patients. 50+ hours during slower season. 60+ in peak season.

Prerequisites: Completion of 2nd Year of Veterinary School, Some first year veterinary students will be accepted.
