We offer our patients wellness examinations, immunizations, general surgery and dentistry, an Isolation unit, ultrasound, digital x-ray including dental radiographs, laser treatments, and a comprehensive in-house laboratory, as well as offering emergency services during open hours.

We take pride in quality veterinary care for dogs, cats, some exotics, reptiles, birds, small farm animals, and the occasional possum or pelican. Our team’s mission is to provide high quality service, personalized and compassionate care to our clients and patients.

Being on an island, you will see a variety of cases both surgical and medical, and because specialists are not always an option due to location or patient finances, you will see some more difficult cases from time to time that will be sure to expand your experience and help you continue to grow as a veterinarian.

Our Clinic Hours: 7:30-5:30 weekdays and Saturday 9:00-1:00

What we're looking for: Licensed in Texas or able to obtain a license quickly. Well rounded, energetic and compassionate full-time and part-time Veterinarians willing to dedicate their expertise to our patient's health and happiness.

Your Schedule: 4-day work weeks (work hours 8:00-8:30am to 6:00-6:30pm) with a once-a-month Saturday Rotation (work hours 8:30am-2:00pm). Schedules are setup for each month so you can plan ahead for your days off.

Additional Salary Information: Compensation package: We support our full-time veterinarians with a great benefits package. Your Time: 4 day work weeks, 2 weeks of flexible vacation time, and an additional week over the Nov-Dec holidays, 3 days PTO, paid holidays, and 1 scheduled long weekend per month. We are located on Galveston Island, it’s an awesome place to live and work and play; the clinic sits a block off the Gulf with a clear view of the surf from our upper deck. The clinic it’s self is different from the rest! We are a private practice with a long history and following! Awarded the Texas Heritage Award from the TVMA for the ongoing service to our community since 1936 and the historic buildings we occupy. It’s just a short walk across the “Cat Walk” to our “Cat Friendly Practice” (no dogs allowed, of course). Both buildings offer a very comfortable and homey environment that our clients love. We support and work closely with our local shelter and their spay neuter and feral programs, we care deeply for our community.
