The College of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University invites applications for the position of Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience and successful track record in basic or translational biomedical research, and research mentorship.

Primary Responsibilities

The Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies will be an innovative, visionary and collaborative leader with the ability to advance the impact and reputation of research programs (basic, veterinary clinical, field) within the College of Veterinary Medicine. More specifically, this Associate Dean will:

• Work with college leadership to plan and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the impact and reputation of research programs within the College of Veterinary Medicine
• Develop and facilitate interdisciplinary collaborations across the college, the Ohio State University, and with other universities and research institutions
• Create a collaborative culture that links clinical and basic science research to enhance translational innovations
• Create an environment that advances the college graduate programs and supports the college graduate and postgraduate trainees
• Support research opportunities for professional degree students
• Serve as college research officer for compliance matters and liaison to the Office of Research

Candidate Qualifications

Doctoral Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
