Haymarket Veterinary Service is looking to add another motivated associate with a strong work ethic to our well-established equine ambulatory practice. With six veterinarians and a dedicated support staff, we work together to provide compassionate veterinary care to our patients and exceptional customer service to our clients. We're seeking an additional associate to help manage our busy caseload and maintain the high standard of medicine we’re known for while ensuring a healthy work-life balance.

We are conveniently located in Northern Virginia, close to Washington, DC, and just an easy drive away from the beaches and Blue Ridge Mountains—offering something for everyone! Our diverse clientele includes hunter/jumpers, dressage, eventing, endurance, trail riding, western, pleasure, and companion horses. Our clients are highly knowledgeable and deeply involved in the care and wellness of their horses.

Our Practice:

• Fully stocked vet trucks are provided.
• We utilize advanced equipment, including NEXT DRs, digital ultrasounds, regenerative medicine, video gastroscope, endoscopes, shockwave units, Cryopen, and more—always open to adding new technology.
• Our caseload includes preventive care, dentistry, lameness/performance evaluations, chiropractic, acupuncture, and medical cases.
• Associates are encouraged to develop their own interests and expand the services we offer.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive base salary plus production-based incentives.
• Generous benefits package including a moving stipend, medical/dental insurance, professional liability insurance, matching 401(k), and full coverage of licensing, professional memberships, and continuing education expenses.
• Vets are each provided a capable assistant during business hours.
• Emergency and weekend duties are shared among all veterinarians, with a scheduling system that ensures everyone enjoys their time off.

The Opportunity: This position is available immediately. While we are ideally looking for a full-time associate (4-day workweek), we are open to considering part-time or alternative schedules for the right candidate. Experience is preferred, but the most important factor is finding someone who fits well with our practice culture and clientele.
